Gluwein and great shopping at
Christmas market in Leeds
After a trip around the Christmas market in Leeds, several Gluwein, a glass of champagne and getting an early fabulous Christmas present in Harvey Nichols, we’ve taken time for a quick rest break at the Radisson where we are staying tonight before heading out for the evening.
Relax at the Radisson
Radisson Leeds is in a perfect location for the Christmas markets, which are just a 2 minute walk away! Parking was easy as Radisson is part of “The Light” development so you just park there (£13 for 24hrs) . Another benefit of being part of The location is that if the weather is bad you don’t have to step outside to go to far to reach a range of bars and restaurants including Epernay (Champagne bar and fabulous cocktail selection), All Bar One and Peachy Keens (live table BBQ, Indian style!) to name but a few. Room is comfortable and modern with a great bathroom and big comfy bed!
Gluwein and gifts at Christmas Market in Leeds
The first stall we always hit is the Gluwein stall and there are lots of good ones here. All are the same price (£4 plus £2.50 deposit for your mug which you can either keep as a souvenir or return) and having tried a lot of Gluwein over the last few years I can tell you this was good stuff, not too acidic or too sweet and piping hot – perfect!
Afte one one of those you are ready to explore and stalls and tackle the crowds. With everything from wooden toys and reindeer shaped candles to gingerbread hearts and Santa dolls you are sure to find a festive momento even if you don’t finish all your Christmas shopping list one trip!
So there in a Christms nutshell is the Christmas market in Leeds – go, enjoy and get ready to start feeling festive,- I certainly did!
